Promotional material for nico fontana, the publishing initiative of Nicole Killian, which is concerned with a queering of language, objects, bodies and spaces.

These Instagram story assets advertised live events surrounded the release of publications  during the 2021 NY Art Book Fair. nico fontana gave total creative freedom to the artists, which created a challenge for cohesion, as some were jovial in tone, while others tackled serious subject matter.

The small team working with Nicole created a branding identity unique for that year’s Book Fair. We wanted to create an energetic and welcoming environment, with clear proximity to queer identifiers. To achieve this, we chose an overall casual ethos, choosing rounded fonts, and relaxing the deeper tones of the rainbow.
